1834

Farmoquímica del Pacífico is founded

Pharmacy professor Antonio Puccio founded his first pharmacy and drugstore on Calle San Juan de Dios, in Valparaíso.

1840

First original medication

The laboratory produces its first original drug, establishing a solid foundation for innovation in pharmaceuticals.

1875

FQP expands its facilities

With the growth in demand, FQP expands its facilities and adopts new production techniques to improve efficiency.

1916

First laboratory

Daube y Cia, set up its first laboratory in Valparaiso for the manufacture of chemical-pharmaceutical products.

1920

Transfer from FQP to Llay-Llay
  • The factory was moved to Llay-Llay for a strategic reason in terms of location.
  • Publication of the first issue of the ALMANAC, which contained material for reading and practical use.

1942

Inflow of national capital

In this decade, national capitals entered their property for the first time. CORFO makes contributions to Droguería del Pacifico (DROPA) and when CORFO joined, DROPA would not only change its name, but its capitals and administration cease to be mostly German.

1960

New licenses for foreign products

At the beginning of this decade, licenses were incorporated for foreign products, the North American cosmetics line Elizabeth Arden, Lavín de París, Mentholatum

1962

Transfer of registered office

The company's registered office was moved to Santiago, with them a phase was completed for the Buenos Aires FQP and a new one focused on the capital began.

1967

New factory

FQP installs a Hydrogen Peroxide factory in Puente Alto. Thanks to this, Chile would become the third country to have its own hydrogen peroxide factory.

1987

Acquisition of FQP shares

The FQP shares were acquired by Mr. Mario Astorga Cartes.

1998

Financial Restructuring

FQP is undergoing financial restructuring in response to the Asian crisis, which hit Chile and the world.

2002

Drugstore Pharmochemistry of the Pacific is born

Pharmochemistry Drug Store of the Pacific was born, as we know it today.

2014

FQP is once again participating in SOFOFA

FQP is once again participating in SOFOFA.

2016

Participation in the CNL

We participate in the National Chamber of Laboratories.

2018

New processes
  • Publication of the book “The First Laboratory is Born in Chile” author QF Claudio Badilla
  • Collaborative and voluntary circles are created that, from a patient-centered perspective, promote active and interdisciplinary listening.

2019

New care area
  • The patient care and trust assurance area was created with the objective of strengthening our value proposition to patients and safeguarding the trust placed in FQP

2020

New contact line
  • Incorporation of a WhatsApp channel into the products to better listen and support the patient.
  • Internationalization of FQP in the Peruvian market.
  • The e-commerce website was created with the objective of accompanying the patient and being an ally in their treatment.

2021

FQP's first participation in Building Happiness Chile.

2023

FQP policy restructuring

Management restructuring of FQP, with Gonzalo Labbé taking over as General Manager and Vicente Astorga as President.
